Who We Are

 

     Safe and Sane Skagit is a grass roots organization of local people who have a concern about gun violence in our communities. We are searching for and acting on ways to impact the legislative and cultural processes in order to bring more safety and sanity to firearm use and availability.

4/2023 - Man shot in West Mount Vernon

3/2023 - Man and Woman shot in car near Riverside Dr. in Mount Vernon

1/2023 - Drive-by shooting of two teens on Division St. in Mount Vernon

7/2022 - Man shot in apartment in Burlington

7/2022 - Five shot inside Mount Vernon Walmart

2/2022 - Officer involved shooting in Sedro Woolley

2021 - Woman shot near Big Lake over a political sign

5/2021 - Gang shooting in Burlington on the 17th and another on the 21st

4/2017 - 16 year old girl shot in Burlington

2/2017 - 2 shootings in Sedro Woolley, one a suicide

12/2016 - Officer shot at LaVenture and Fir streets, blinded

10/2016 - Man shot on Puget street in Sedro Woolly

9/2016 - Cascade Mall shooting - five dead

3/2015 - Taxi Driver murdered in Mount Vernon

9/2008- Shooting spree leaves 6 dead and 2 injured

The Gun Violence Archive is an online archive of gun violence incidents collected from over 7,500  law enforcement, media, government and commercial sources daily in an effort to provide near-real time data about the results of gun violence.
